"We are all cups, constantly and quietly being filled.
The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out."
~Ray Bradbury

Creative spaces and making stuff rock.
I was once a pretty creative person. I could draw, paint, sew and do many many other cool and crafty things.
Then I had babes and have spent the last 8 years taking care of them.
Along the way i stopped doing creative things due to lack of time.
But now i have some free (30 min a day if I'm lucky lol)
So I have started drawing again, rediscovering the super fab world of soft pastels.
And even trying my hand at bead making.
I even have a little creative space for myself. A table set up in my bedroom.
It's small but really great to have.

Here are some pictures!

Bad Reputation

I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
You're living in the past it's a new generation
A girl can do what she wants to do and that's
What I'm gonna do
An' I don't give a damn ' bout my bad reputation

Oh no not me

An' I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Never said I wanted to improve my station
An' I'm only doin' good
When I'm havin' fun
An' I don't have to please no one
An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

I don't give a damn
'Bout my reputation
I've never been afraid of any deviation
An' I don't really care
If ya think I'm strange
I ain't gonna change
An' I'm never gonna care
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

Pedal boys!

An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my reputation
The world's in trouble
There's no communication
An' everyone can say
What they want to say
It never gets better anyway
So why should I care
'Bout a bad reputation anyway
Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation
You're living in the past
It's a new generation
An' I only feel good
When I got no pain
An' that's how I'm gonna stay
An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not
Not me, not me

Colors do our favorites really say that much about us. My favorite color as a little girl was green (just like mommy's). As i got older it changed as the whims of children do. First pink, then purple, then to black. That last color change happened when i was about 13 and it hasn't changed again. I have a fondness for other colors. Bright bold hot pink, neon green, and purple are colors i enjoy most often. I stay away from browns oranges and yellows. These colors often make me feel icky and in need of a pick me up. Colors with energy seem to call to me. Saying to my little Kas brain meat "hello be happy and smile). That could be why my hair is at this moment bright pink.

On to my point. A friend send me a link to a color test. It was scary how accurate this test was in finding my true nature through my color choices. Now its not campy "you picked pink so your a girly girl" quiz. It was spot on for me. So let me know if it worked out for you too! You don't have to share the results. I would rather not blab about the deep secrets a color test dug out of me that I have never told a soul. But it would be nice to see if the results you all get are as spot on as mine.

Enjoy!

Mr.J rocks the picture taking. This is one of the newer creations. We go to the local and not so local cemeteries and photograph the older headstones. We are going to put to gather a book or calender soon. Anyways I love love love this picture. Its haunting and beautiful at the same time. And the older headstones really kind of tell a story. And it can be a lot of fun to track down the abandoned cemeteries. Places that haven't been kept up hold a special place in my black little heart.

So support you local cemeteries! Clean them up! Find abandoned cemeteries and donate time to keeping them looking nice. Its a good thing.

The Spawn watched The Princess Bride for the first time today. It's great to see your kids enjoying something that you liked when you where little. And its not like i forced her into it or anything. Mr.J saw it was on she just sat down and watched it. It's one of very few "people movies" as she puts it that she will watch.

I have my skull socks on today. They keep my legs warm and make me smile too. I like them. I also have monkey socks, cherry socks, french kitty socks, star socks, stripy socks. Socks, its a thing.

Yes I'm kookie like this. The book monster that is I has gone through every book i have and some e books too. And now I'm bookless and sad :( I can read a book in a day if I can get away from everyone. Mr.J (husband) says its a wast of books and money. What does he know? It takes him months to get through a book. Granted he works 60-70 hours a week. But still I can't help that I'm an above average reader. Not my fault really. So anyway I'm doing things like being productive {{*gasp* I know it's such a bad word}} to fill my no book time. My little brain is sad and may even bee shrinking. WOWS me.....

We have been on a zombie kick here the last few weeks. I love me some zombie movies! Really the whole idea just gets my heart pumping. "They" say the dead cant hurt you. But when the dead come back to life and start eating you I bet that would hurt. Come on you say. A zombie attack would never happen. And to that I say "Oh ye of little imagination." Sure it might not ever really happen. And really who would want to really have to run for you life from anything? {{especially if your fat like me}}}

But back to my point, or forward to my point cuz i don't think i have made it yet. I would ROCK the Zombie Attack! MY brother in law and I have it all figured out.

^^ Thats the BIL!
And its kind of fun to sit around and talk about the best way to survive. What you would do and how you would go about it. We have it all planned out and everything. My hubby said he would just shoot himself. But I would kick some zombie ass.

So if there is ever a zombie attack you know who to come to. OH ya and the book to get if you don't wanna have to depend on the pink haired girlly is............ (DUM DUMDUM) The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. Find it, read it, love it! I command you!

YA my geekness just skyrocketed...

OK so I now have Myspace AND LJ. I feel like such a sheep.

But really it all started with a little girl named Anne. And she had a blog on LJ. And not a word was said about little ol me. Her bestest friend of ever and always for years and years and years. But thats ok because i luv her anyways. And i have all kinds of secrets i can share about her on here {{insert evil laughter here}} So ya, you wont find much special here. I'm not a big "blogger", don't often feel driven to spill my innermost thoughts and feelings. I'm not what one could call a emotional gal. I'm a punk rock stay at home mom. Crazy huh! Pink hair, tattoos, PTA and Soccer mom. It's great! I'm never hard to find in a group or anything.

I don't play into Egos or bull shit. And I can't stand drama. Other then that I'm pretty friendly and fun to be around if i do say so myself! (and i just did) I often use my outside voice when i should be using the one in my head. And more often then not what I have to say is a little to.....whats the word.....candid. But I'm good for a laugh and I'm always honest even if it means not makin friends.

So WOOT for the Kas and the LJ. I'm gonna ROCK YOUR WORLD! Or at least make it a little more colorful!
